John you are already sorely missed…and I never said goodbye properly, you certainly took me by surprise with that..our UK trips without your tea will never be the same…I hope you are at peace, no more pain, and having a drink with fatty!

John was my neighbour for the last 8 years, he was a quiet fellow who kept himself to himself, a much proud and dignified gentleman. I will remember him for many reasons, one being how active and knowledgeable he was. We used to speak regularly over the fence and through the window in our back gardens. We did many projects together, he wasn’t one to ask for help, but he did ask me on plenty of occasions.
He was always chugging on his cigars as he worked away at his garden.
I’d always stop and speak to him when driving past his house just to see how he was doing.
He was a generous man who used to lend a hand when needed too.
It’s sad to see such an active man for his age decline so quickly.
There are reminders of him all over my house and he is already missed. I will miss our regular over the fence conversations about life and how he used to entertain my children the best he could.
He was a kind and gentle soul who did not bother anyone.
May he rest in peace
